Absen LED installed a 167 square meter (1796.5 sqft) LED video wall at Longgang Operation Centre (LOC) in Shenzhen as an equipment of the “Smart City” project to display instant information of the city.

Shenzhen is one of the most important economic hub in Asia with more than 12 million people. Being assigned by Chinese government as special economic zone, Shenzhen has transformed it into a megacity in less than 40 years with the highest vehicle density. For improving the public safety, traffic and emergency response, authorities adopted the system designed by Huawei to turn Shenzhen to China’s first Smart City.

The immense LED screen set in LOC was integrated with the Smart City system to receive real-time data from the city, providing information for operators to make prompt decisions. The world’s biggest curved LED screen is with 103 million pixels and made of 798 panels. Featured with Absen LED’s latest CR 1.2 series, it can receive 181 display signals and process data to display them on up to 105 windows at 720p (40 windows at 1080p and 10 at 4K resolution), ensuring the display to transfer content with high image quality.

Combining the technology of hardware and software, the Smart City project of Shenzhen demonstrated the possibilities of megacity administration. With the gigantic LED display synchronizing information around the city, the authorities could efficiently manage various situations to make critical decisions.
