The Allegheny County Airport Authority chosen Appalachian Lighting Systems, Inc. (ALSI), a Pennsylvania-based manufacturer, to manufacture and deliver 1,347 new LED lighting fixtures at the Pittsburgh International Airport. It's expected to save the authority at least $158,000 in energy costs every year.

The LED units will be installed at the airport's Parking Garage and Deck and at the Passenger Drop-off and Pick-up areas to take the place of the current lighting fixtures. ALSI was supported by Imbue Technology Solutions, Inc., ALSI's Pittsburgh-based distributor and Cree.
