One of China largest manufacturers of consumer electronics devices, Sichuan Changhong Electric has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Fairchild Semiconductor.

Under the MOU, Changhong has committed to fulfilling purchasing target plans for Fairchild's leading-edge power and mobile components through December 2015.

In return,Fairchild's devices are designed into a broad range of Changhong products including LED TVs, PDP TVs, LCD TVs, CRT TVs, set-top boxes, refrigerators and air conditioners.

Fairchild and Changhong started to set up a relationship from 2004 with the establishment of a joint product development laboratory. This announcement is considered to be an extension of that long-standing cooperation.
