Panasonic Electric Works Co., Ltd. has decided to build a new company in Serbia to develop energy-efficient electronic devices (ballasts) for lighting fixtures. The new company will start in January 2011, which named Panasonic Electric Works Vossloh-Schwabe Serbia d.o.o. Volume production.
It is expected that the new company can change in the demand from incandescent lamps to fluorescent lamps and LEDs, and increase the demand for electronic control of lighting devices. Panasonic Electric Works planed to upgrade electronic ballast production capabilities, with a view to developing its business in LED devices, in an effort to further expand the energy-efficient lighting devices business in Europe.
