Swiss fashion house AKRIS introduces haute couture designs with embroidered LED lights in this new fall collection. The collection was inspired by German artist Thomas Ruff’s work “Stars,” “Nights” and “ma.r.s.”

The LED design blends flawlessly with AKRIS’ space theme. The e-broidery (a play on words “electric embroidery”) is a collaboration between AKRIS and Forster Rohner.
“Forster Rohner has been integrating electronic functionalities into textiles while developing delicate and intricately embroidered LEDs to gorgeous, patterned sensors. Forster Rohner’s success (and innovation) is in using a vocabulary that designers are familiar with (embroidery). No wires, no black boxes. “ (Fashioning Technology)
