The biennial Light+Building trade fair in Frankfurt has come to a close today, with over 2,300 exhibitors in attendance and close to 200,000 visitors. LEDinside Research Roger Chu shared his insight while at the show, observing the trends and innovative products showcased. Stand outs included Philips, Osram, Edison Opto, Toshiba, and Zumtobel. 


In wake of the show, Philips Lighting launched a variety of new products including new additions to their Hue series as well as new LUXEON Z ES through their Philips Lumileds arm. This week also saw many LED industry manufacturer releasing their March financial results. Genesis Photonics Inc. experienced a turnaround in profit in March, Unity Opto saw revenue increase, and Ledtech benefited from good performance from their lighting business. Overall, the LED industry as a whole flourished in March. For further information, please see below:
