It’s reported that Delta Electronics Inc. plans to invest in the LED industry by the end of the year.

LEDs are semiconductors used to illuminate liquid- crystal televisions, street lights and music players. Delta, based in Taipei, is the world's largest maker of power systems for computers and games machines.

Delta will start manufacturing the LEDs to secure supply of the components.
