Starchips announces SCT2024, 16-bit Constant Current LED driver for LED display

2009-02-26 17: 19

Starchips announces SCT2024 the latest member of its LED Display Driver Family. SCT2024 is a constant current LED driver with 16-bit Serial-In / Parallel-Out interface capability. In application, an external resistor is used to set full-scale constant current from 5mA up to 45mA. The built shift registers and data latches making SCT2024 effective solution in driving LED display. The output enable (OE) function gates all 16 outputs on and off, and is fast enough to be used as PWM input for LED intensity control. Since the serial data input rate can be reached up to 25MHz, the SCT2024 will satisfy systems which needs high volume data transmission to control the LED Display.

“SCT2024 delivers features of stable current output regulation to load, supply voltage and temperature. Especially current regulation to temperature, we are seeing more and more customer concern from the market for the feature.” states Johnny Hsu, General Manager of Starchips. “By archiving bit skew 1%, and chip skew 3%, SCT2024 presents an excellent value to the LED display customers who concern the uniformity and brightness of the LED display.” Johnny adds.

Price,  Package,  Availability and Ordering Information.

With RoHS Compliant, SCT2024 is available in SOP-24, SSOP-24, SSOP-24 (1.0mm), and SDIP-24. Volume pricing starts at USD0.4- in 1K unit quantities. Samples are available; please contact our local distributors or us.
