The new headquarter of the Commercial Bank of Qatar has recently been constructed, with an 8 x 6 panel (5.12m(w) x 2.88 m (h)) LED screen installed in the building’s lobby to provide an instant impression of the bank’s high quality standards. The P6-FA panels were from Lighthouse Technologies and the screen were installed by Technomight.

“This is the first time we have installed Lighthouse LED panels. We chose the P6-FA front access panels because the bank needs excellent picture quality with a short viewing distance. Also, front access for maintenance was an important requirement.” says Yogesh S. Wadke of Technomight, the well-established audio-visual integrator based in Dubai and Doha, UAE.

The LED panels provide an optimum resolution for the viewing distance in the building’s lobby. Content includes a wide range of bank-related activities, including promotional material, information on the Qatar economy and footage of programmes and events sponsored by the bank.

Lighthouse and Technomight worked closely together to provide a complete solution, including screen controls, which includes connectivity of various types of visual inputs to the LED display such as Digital Signage Server, DVD, Streaming Computer Images or Satellite Television feed.

“The biggest challenge for us was that the decision to install the screen was made after renovation of the lobby was complete, which necessitated the removal of the wall cladding to accommodate the screen,” continues Mr Wadke. “Lighthouse gave us a great deal of help in solving the alignment issue and, once the screen had been finally fitted, the result was flawless.”
