General information

What the global electronics industry has to offer in the way of trends and new developments was presented at electronica 2008, which was held at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre from November 11 – 14, 2008. Nearly all of the industry's leading companies participated in the trade fair to showcase their new products and applications. The fair focused on the latest hot topics such as automotive electronics, green electronics, e-signage and promoting young professionals.

The fair remained true to its slogan, which was "Get the whole picture". The world's leading trade fair for components, systems and applications covered the entire range of electronics solutions, from semiconductors, embedded systems, displays, sensors, measuring and testing technology to electromechanics/system peripherals (formerly interconnection systems/components, i.e. switches, relays and keyboards, and casing technology) and electronic design, in 14 exhibition halls.

Previous Fair Information

With a constantly high number of exhibitors and visitors, electronica 2008 sent out some positive signals to the international electronics industry. The trade fair attracted around 2,800 exhibitors, 58% of whom came from abroad. Approximately 73.000 trade visitors were recorded at electronica 2008.
