LiDAR technology, for example, is now used to support people flow management.


Hitachi Vantara, the digital infrastructure and solutions subsidiary of Hitachi, is leveraging its technology to deliver a variety of solutions for reducing the risk of infection.

The company combined 3D LiDAR technology with computer vision and machine learning to monitor handwashing without identifying personal information. In addition, LiDAR technology can be trained to detect people who need special cares and to provide social distancing analysis.
